Sellr is a site-building platform that provides all the necessary tools and services for businesses to create and manage their online stores.
You get all of the features you might need to design a great website, and most of the plans are pretty affordable.
The one downside of the platform is that the revenue you can generate on a yearly basis tops off at £1 million. In fairness, this is way more than enough even for medium-sized online shops, but larger stores will need a bit more breathing room when it comes to the upper limit on transactions on their site.

Features
All Sellr plans share some standard features, but many other features are hidden behind the higher payment ceilings of the more expensive plans. To keep things simple, we’ll go over the universal features in this section, and then the individual features that each plan comes with within their own dedicated section.
Standard Products – You can sell any standard physical product on your site, from articles of clothing to exercise equipment and other items.
The number of products you can add to your online store depends on the plan you choose, but even the least expensive option still allows you to add up to 500 products.
Downloadable Items – Digital items can also be sold through your site, including images, music, videos, and so on. You’ll also be able to choose how these items are sold.
One option is setting up a subscription service so your customers can access a certain number of items on a weekly or monthly basis. Another option is offering a one-time payment system that will give your customers a certain number of products at once.
Tickets – If you have a ticket deal with any organization or venue, you can advertise and sell tickets by using the essential tools for this purpose. You’ll be able to post the ticket prices, the rows and seat numbers, the event time, and everything else the customer needs to know before they decide to buy.
You’ll also be able to keep your customers updated on the exact number of available tickets and when they’re out of stock, among other things.
Accommodation – Selling accommodation works in a similar manner; you make an agreement with a hotel, hostel, or another accommodation provider, and then either advertise the rooms on your site and provide links, or sell directly on your site.
You’ll, again, be provided with plenty of categories that you can add to your accommodation descriptions to inform your customers of the exact price, person capacity per room, and anything else they should know.
EPOS System – The platform comes with an electronic point-of-sale system that’s designed to make your life easier by simplifying transactions. Normally, when a transaction is made in an online shop, card payments, electronic wallet payments, and online gateway payments are calculated separately.
The EPOS system calculates all of the transactions made on your site in the same place, regardless of the payment method that was used. This allows you to have a more accurate view of all of the collective payments you got for the day or the week without having to add everything up yourself.
You can still separate the various types of payments if you need individual calculations, so you’re getting the best of both worlds. Not to mention that you can separate the payments into several other categories as well.
Sell on Social Media – You can sell your products on Facebook Shop, Twitter, and Instagram, where you can add product images and embed links to your site in the image descriptions.
SEO Tools – You’ll get access to various SEO tools that can help your site get a bit more attention on search engines. These tools include keyword generators for specific sites, backlink checkers, ranking assessment reports, and others.
Promotions – You can create and add promotional campaigns to your site to draw attention to certain products. These are great for displaying any new inventory, high-quality items you want to promote, or items you want to sell quickly.
Prices/Fees
Sellr has 4 plans to pick from. The first two are more suitable for smaller businesses that are just getting off the ground, while the more expensive plans are better for already established shops and growing businesses.
Luckily, all of the plans come with a 14-day free trial period, so you can check out all of the available features before deciding which plan would suit your needs the most.
Sellr ST
The first plan costs you £10 per month and comes with all of the features we listed in the section above.
You’ll be able to put up to 500 products on your site, which includes both physical and digital products. You’ll also get a CRM (customer relationship management) system where you can store the numbers and emails of up to 1,000 potential customers and service representatives.
A major downside of this plan is that it can only process up to £5,000 in online sales a year. Once you pass that number, you’ll need to upgrade to one of the other plans to keep using Sellr services.
While all of the plans have a yearly profit process limit, 5k is a ridiculously low benchmark. We don’t think it’s a stretch to say that any new company would vastly surpass that profit in just a few months, let alone a year, so upgrading to one of the other plans will be inevitable.
Sellr Pro
The Pro plan costs £35 a month and allows you to process up to £50,000 on a yearly basis. You can add up to 1,000 products on your site, and save up to 3,000 contacts.
This plan has all of the same features as the previous plan, as well as a few new ones:
List Items on Google Smart Shopping – To significantly increase the chances of your products being discovered on Google, you can create tailored campaigns for your products through the Google Smart Shopping option. Additionally, this feature is very easy to integrate, can easily be optimised, and gives you a lot of product marketing options.
List Items on eBay and Amazon – You can list and sell your items on both of these major product-oriented platforms. You can choose to either sell all of your products directly on the platforms in question or withhold certain items exclusively for your site so you can redirect the traffic from your eBay and Amazon accounts onto your site.
Shop Synchronization – This goes hand-in-hand with the previous feature; you’ll be able to synchronise all of the info and the transactions from all of your shops onto a single dashboard, as well as organise and categorise them.
Stock Synchronization – All of your product stock will automatically be updated on every selling platform that you use. Your customers will know exactly how many units you have left of a particular product, regardless if they’ve found your items on Amazon, eBay, or your site. They’ll also get a notification if a particular product is out of stock on every platform.
However, keep in mind that this platform doesn’t list stock warning messages as a feature, so while the stock is automatically calculated, you’ll need to keep an eye on it yourself and place your reorders before you run out of products.
Schedule Posts on Facebook and Twitter – Advertising on social media is effective, but it requires consistency. Sellr comes with a feature that allows you to create social media posts ahead of time and schedule them so they’re automatically posted at a time of your choosing.
Import/Export Contacts and Create Contact Lists – The CRM system now has more features; you can import and export any and all of your contacts with a simple click of a button and create as many custom contact lists as you want.
Cross-Sell and Up-Sell – This feature essentially allows you to link any of your products together. If a customer is interested in a certain product, they’ll automatically be shown an accompanying item they might also be interested in.
For example, if you’re selling steering wheels on your site, you can set steering wheel covers to appear as a suggested purchase next to those products.
Abandonment Emails – Your customers will get an automatic notification in their emails about items they haven’t checked out in their cart. The email will be sent out automatically to everyone that has created an account on your site, and it’s a great way to potentially gain some return customers by reminding them of products left in their carts.
Not Completed Notification – If you ever have site maintenance or a site issue that causes it to be down for any period of time, this notification will simply tell your site visitors to try again later.
Sellr Business
The third plan costs you £70 a month and allows you to process up to £150,000 in transactions a year on your site. You can now add up to 5,000 contacts to your CRM and as many products as you want to your site.
This plan also comes with up to 50,000 marketing emails you can send out. These emails will allow you to message anyone with an account on your site about new products, special offers, sales, or any other information that you want. You can create several marketing email templates and choose between them at your preference.
Aside from all of the features that we’ve mentioned until now, this plan also comes with the following new features:
Schedule Emails – While the previous plan allowed you to create your own email templates, you still had to send them out manually. With this feature, you can schedule your marketing emails so they’re automatically sent out without any further input from you.
Follow-Up Emails – You’ll be able to send any site or service subscriber a follow-up email. If you have a free payment plan on offer, the email can suggest an alternative plan your subscribers might like to try, an accompanying item, or an upgrade to the item that they bought.
These are only a few common examples, and the exact contents of the follow-up emails can be whatever you want them to be.
Email Tracking – You’ll be able to track the number and effectiveness of the emails that you send out and see, for example, how many customers who made one purchase returned to your site. These metrics allow you to determine which emails and email templates are more effective so you can better optimise your email marketing strategy.
Coupons and Promotional Codes – You’ll be able to create your own coupons and promotional codes for your products. Both the coupons and the promotional codes can either be given out to any site visitor, or they can be sent to select customers via email marketing.
Dynamic Coupons and Promotional Codes – Unlike standard codes, dynamic codes and coupons are unique.
The point of dynamic codes is that only one person can use them. There is no limit to how many people can use a standard promotional code, so they’re usually meant to be given out a lot more liberally but offer a less significant discount when redeemed.
Dynamic codes, on the other hand, are generally given out to select individuals and companies and they offer more significant discounts. To prevent other people from abusing these discounts, the dynamic codes are exclusive to one use.
Coupon Algorithms – The platform comes with a coupon algorithm that can help you create discounts. While you have full control over the amount of the discounts and the number of coupons that you send out, this feature can help you improve your approach.
The algorithm takes a lot of factors into consideration, like the amount of time a product has been in stock, the number of sales, the price of certain products, and so on. At the end of the process, you’ll get suggestions on coupons that you might want to offer for certain products. However, the final choice is, of course, yours.
Autoresponder – The autoresponder that you get will allow you to set email templates that will automatically send a message in your place. These templates can be tailor-made to respond to customer emails, notify customers when their products have been shipped, welcome back customers to their accounts, and so on.
Offers – You can create special offers for certain customers. This is usually done in B2B (business-to-business) transactions or when a customer buys a certain item in bulk. Individual customers can get one-time offers depending on the number of products or the type of products they buy. As for businesses, you can set up an ongoing offer for a lower price in exchange for a repeat business agreement.
Sellr Advanced
The final plan that Sellr offers will set you back £210 a month, and allow you to have up to £1 million in transactions in a year. It also allows you to add as many products as you want to your site, and comes with 100k marketing emails and up to 50k CRM contacts.
Aside from the above-mentioned upgrades, this plan comes will the exact same features as the Business plan.
The Advanced plan is a great option for larger companies that have a larger yearly revenue than most online shops, and that need additional marketing emails. However, in any other situation, the Business plan is a much better, and significantly more affordable option.
Payment Options
Sellr lists both PayPal and cards as viable payment options for their site, although it doesn’t mention if there’s a restriction on debit or credit cards, or mention any specific credit cards by name.
You can also integrate third-party payment gateways onto your site to allow your customers to pay through their preferred methods. These gateways include Stripe, Opayo, Global Payments, World Pay, and Authorize.net.
You can offer delayed payment through PayPal on your platform. This might help you unload more expensive items by allowing your customers to pay them off in increments rather than all at once.
Company Background
The company was established in 2010 in Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom. It started under the name Superia Commerce but is currently going by the name Sellr.
It’s never been a large company but has still managed to generate a revenue of around 1 million dollars in the time that it’s been in business.
User Reviews
Sellr only has 5 reviews on Trustpilot, but they’re all incredibly happy with the service, with 5-star ratings across the board.
G2 gives the platform 4.5 out of 5 stars, and again, while the number of reviews is limited, they all speak highly of the features that the platform provides.
