Company Background
Ecwid’s CEO, Ruslan Fazlyev, was a co-founder of X-Cart which was the world’s first PHP eCommerce platform. This was in 2000. Ruslan enjoyed the success of X-Cart but saw that there were many small businesses that had existing websites and all they wanted to do was sell online. Ecwid was designed for these businesses in mind and began selling its product in 2009.
Ecwid has two offices, one in San Diego and one in Ulyanovsk, Russia. The company is growing quickly and now has over one million small businesses using its shopping cart solutions.
