Gambio is an all-in-one eCommerce solution that helps businesses create and manage their online shops. What’s more, you also get a variety of marketing features that allow you to increase the discoverability of your site and steadily increase your average visitor count.

You can choose one of the three pricing plans and add a number of integrations for payment, marketing, or even programming purposes. The platform comes with its own cloud and private server hosting options, but it allows you to choose from a variety of third-party hosts as well.

Gambio is a great option for small and medium-sized companies, and you’re not limited when it comes to the number of products you can add to your site or the number of daily visitors you can host. That being said, unless you pick the private hosting options, any significant influx of site visitors will noticeably decrease the speed at which the site elements load for your visitors.

Features

Gambio comes with many useful site-building and management features, but also a large number of integrations.

The site rightfully boasts about the 200+ integrations you can add to your site, which includes everything from SEO tools and payment gateways to product shipping options.

Design

• StyleEdit – This website design tool allows you to make changes to your site’s layout, font, colours, and many other elements by using easy-to-navigate drop-down menus and drag-and-drop functionality.

StyleEdit doesn’t require any prior coding knowledge to use properly, so just about anyone can use it to design their site however they want. 

• Templates – Gambio gives you access to several pre-built templates for various businesses, so it’s more than likely that you’ll be able to find something that fits your preferences and needs.
• Template Customization – With the StyleEdit tools, you can also create your own custom templates and either directly implement them or save them for later use.
• Code Editing – If you know your way around HTML and CSS, you can go directly into the site source code by using the admin account and make any changes that you want to your site layout.

You also have the option to add features like eShop:Src, Pimpmyxtc or Shopgate to your site, which are all tools that can help you make code modification just a bit easier.

• SSL – All of the Gambio plans come with a complimentary SSL certificate that encrypts your site data and makes it much more secure. This certificate also comes with the little padlock at the beginning of the domain name that informs visitors the site is safe.

Aside from the visual flare, the padlock also tells search engines that the site runs on HTTPS, which is much more SEO-friendly than the standard HTTP connection, thereby increasing your ranking and your site visitor count along with it.

However, since this is cloud hosting, the more products and visitors you have, the bigger the strain that’s placed on the site. This means that the site will load a bit more slowly, but depending on the number of assets and people, that speed drop can grow to be pretty significant.

Luckily, Gambio has another hosting option that you can pick for situations like this. If you’re willing to pay €199 per year, you’ll be able to host your site on your own server. This comes with full support, free updates, free site upgrades, and much more.

Additionally, you can also choose from several other hosting providers, like ESTUGO, STRATO, or Webgo.

• Access to the Gambio Community – You can draw inspiration from any of the thousands of other sites that were built through Gambio. There are several examples for every type of business, so you can easily find something that could match the type of shop you’re trying to create.
• Updates – Gambio often updates the features on the platform. The updates don’t come at any particular frequency, but there are usually several big updates a year that are implemented automatically and free of charge.
• Shipping – You’ll be able to partner up with shipping companies and add various shopping portals to your site. These include everything from Findlogic and Yatego to Rakuten and Matoso. All of these portals have their own benefits and you can add as many as you want and give your customers more options.
• Invoices & Delivery Notes – You’ll be able to change aspects of your documents or create entirely new templates for your invoices, product shipping options, and so on. 

Prices/Fees

Gambio has 3 plans, all of which come with both a monthly and a yearly billing option, and different contract durations while on the monthly billing option. 

Startup

The first plan on the list will cost you €24,95 a month if you get billed on a monthly basis, and €22,46 a month if you get billed on an annual basis. Regardless if you choose the monthly or the annual billing option, the minimal contract for this plan is 12 months, so it makes much more sense to just go for the annual payment option and save some money.

More specifically, the annual billing option saves you 10%, or around €30 a year. It’s not a huge sum of money, but there’s no reason to waste it by going for the monthly billing option.

This plan comes with a single admin account which ensures that you’re the only one that can make changes to your site. You also get site support via email, so you can message a representative from Gambio at any time and easily clear up any issue that you might be having.

This plan also comes with the following features:

• Legal Security & Texts – Gambio can automatically send security texts to your site visitors. They are meant to protect your site from any legal repercussions by informing everyone on the site of the exact terms and conditions that they agree to once they enter your site or create their account.

These texts are also automatically updated, so if there are any new restrictions that websites need to abide by, these new terms will automatically be included in your legal texts.

• Marketplaces/Multichannel – You’ll be able to sell your products on Amazon, eBay, or any other online marketplace that you want to use. All of the sales will be funnelled through your site, and you’ll be able to easily organize all of your transactions and keep track of all of your sales through a single dashboard.
• Google Package – The Google package includes the integration of both Google Analytics and Google Shopping onto your site, which provide you with both SEO tools and marketing tools that you can take advantage of to grow your site.

You’ll also get €400 of ad credit that you can use on a marketing strategy for your site. The credit doesn’t renew when you renew the plan, so it’s strictly a one-time deal for new customers.

• eCommerce Starter Pack – This pack allows you to move your site to a Gambio Cloud domain free of charge. You’ll also be assigned a personal consultant that will explain exactly what you need to do to move your shop and answer any questions that you have about the whole process.

As the name suggests, this plan is ideal for businesses that are just starting out and for users that still might be new to the eCommerce field. You get a lot of features that provide you with the tools you need to get your online shop off the ground.

Small Business

The Small Business plan will cost you €64,95 a month on a monthly billing schedule and €58,46 on an annual billing schedule. The monthly billing contract only lasts for 6 months this time, but we’d still go for the annual plan since it’ll save you around €78 on a yearly basis.

This plan comes with 3 admin accounts, which allows you to grant full site access to two of your employees while also keeping an account for yourself.

You also get both email and telephone support this time. Additionally, since this is priority support, you’ll automatically jump the queue in front of anyone that’s on the Startup plan.

API access is also granted through this plan, so you’ll be able to adjust the way that certain features interact with one another and make your website run that much smoother. 

And finally, this plan also comes with a WordPress blog that you can add to your site, which is a great way to keep visitors engaged.

It also serves as a great SEO tool since it allows you to integrate certain keywords into your articles that can help give you a bit of a boost in search engines.

Professional

The final plan that Gambio offers will set you back €129,95 if you’re being billed monthly, and €116,96 if you go for the annual billing option. The monthly billing contract only lasts for 3 months this time, but the annual plan will save you €108 on a yearly basis, so both options have their own benefits.

However, if you’re not planning on switching platforms, then we’d suggest getting the annual contract and saving the hundred euros.

You get priority support through both phone and email, but this time you’re at the head of the line even in front of the Small Business plan owners, so your issues will always be addressed first.

The only other difference between this plan and the previous one is that you get an unlimited number of admin accounts. This is great for larger companies that have several employees that are strictly focused on the site maintenance side of things and need their own access to the site code and elements.

Aside from the features that we just mentioned, this plan is identical to the Small Business plan in terms of features.

Payment Options

None of the plans have any additional transaction fees outside of the payment gateway fees and the credit and debit card fees that inherently come with those payment options.

As for the gateways themselves, Gambio allows you to add all of the most well-known services to your site. You can choose to accept payments through PayPal, Klarna, Amazon Pay, Wirecard, and many other options.

While no specific credit or debit cards are mentioned, none are specifically excluded either. This leads us to believe that most standard cards will probably be an acceptable payment method as long as you approve them. However, we’d still suggest running that past a member of the support team so that you’re absolutely sure there aren’t any specific card restrictions that prevent you from adding certain payment options to your site.
