Initial Set-up
Let’s get your Square Register up and running in this video. You’ll see how to power up configure your customer display connect to the internet set up point of sale software take your first payment and easily add all the right accessories inside your box.

Customer Display

Attaching Cables
Hold the release latch on the base and remove the customer display at the same time to connect the customer display to register plug.

Turning It On
Until the square logo appears you can set up an internet connection. Via Wi-Fi or ethernet. Ethernet is recommended for the best performance just plug one end of the ethernet cable into your Wi-Fi router and the other into the accessory hub for Wi-Fi.
Just select your network to connect Square Register comes with square point-of-sale software already installed so all you have to do is log in or create a new account at square.com.
Choose The Type of POS You Need
You can also use Square for restaurants. Square for retail or Square appointments on register just go to square.com POS to sign up then select that POS when you log in.
Once logged in and on the checkout screen you can add items to a sale enter a custom amount and offer discounts. You can also create new items and arrange them any way you want.
Edit Settings
It’s easy to quickly edit settings for register and your entire business. In settings you can connect to Wi-Fi adjust display brightness and turn on time tracking for employees to log in and log out to take a payment simply tap an item in the library or enter a custom amount.
Everything you select also appears on the customer display. Then just hit charge lights will then flash around the contactless area and the card slot customers can pay using chip and pin or a contactless card or device and by enabling Clearpay as a payment.
Add Accessories & Extras
Option via settings on dashboard customers can buy now pay later. You can also view manage and complete online orders and payments directly on Square Register.
You can connect a cash drawer printer or barcode scanner to Square Register via USB or ethernet to connect via USB plug the accessory into the accessory hub. When you see the on-screen confirmation or hear.
